The game is REALLY greatly optimized CPU sided. Even lower end processors, IF paired with 1080TI, could go stable 60. he didnt have the newer haswell, he had a 4790K under his hood, which is overclocked as much as he can with best noctuas coolers there are.įyi, it doesnt even matter. Im so sorry, i typoed the name even twice. FYI the 6700k is faster at stock than what I'm assuming you meant is the 5820K.

good CPU doesnt help much, since even a GTX980TI couldnt run the newest expansion on 1080P holding a stable 60FPS (my wifes brother owned a GTX980TI along with a 5870K, much stronger CPU than yours and with super high overclocks) and the game dipped even with that setup down to 55FPS.Īs my wifes brother is EXTREMELY annoyed by even small dips, he knew buying new GPU wouldnt help.Īt the moment, GTX1080TI (The not-yet-released masterpiece card) is the only card able to run the game on 3440x1440 on Full graphics, with no BAD dips.Īt the moment, GTX1080TI (The not-yet-released masterpiece card) is the only card able to run the game on 3440x1440 on Full graphics, with no BAD dips. GTX1080 isnt enough to run the game at that resolution on max settings, even with hairworks off. Any idea what is going on and how I could improve perfromance to reflect that which I have seen? thanks. Temperatures also appear fine around 55-65 C on my CPU and 83 C Max on my GPU. I am running stock on my CPU but none of my CPU cores ever max according to my monitoring software 60-85% (sometimes the low 90's on some cores). I barely touch 60 (half the time I am in the low to mid 50's) and in fights with just a few monsters it go down to the low 40's on the same settings they are using (no hairworks all other settings ultra).

I watched videos by people with the same graphics card (supposedly not OC) they never seem to dip much bellow 60 fps at this resolution.
